Minories Hotel
C.P. Hart recently supplied fittings for Minories Hotel, a new development located in the heart of London's East End. The hotel opened its doors at the end of 2021 as Hilton's first UK property under its sustainable lifestyle brand, Canopy.The Specification
Working in collaboration with architectural practice ACME London, C.P. Hart supplied the sanitaryware and brassware for Minories Hotel, a 340-room hotel surrounded by London’s iconic East End neighbourhoods.The designers specified Cielo Enjoy and Crosswater MPRO throughout the hotel’s bathrooms, set amongst black herringbone floor tiles and white metro wall tiling – a clean backdrop for the mostly monochrome schemes. Cielo Enjoy undermounted basins sit flush in wood-finish vanity units, and black-framed shower screens house the MPRO shower fittings in matt black to align with the basin mixers. The wall-hung WCs feature soft-close seats and are complete with matt black flush plates – every detail considered. To finish, LED mirrors offer a gentle glow for a cosier atmosphere.
The Result
The hotel’s designers delved into East London’s rich history, drawing inspiration from the Huguenot silk weavers who settled in Spitalfields in the 17th century. As such, guest rooms and dining spaces feature floral patterns and woven fabrics that are reminiscent of their techniques, echoed in the bathrooms through the herringbone tiling.The juxtaposition of bold geometric flooring and soft white ceramics make these bathrooms ever more interesting whilst providing guests with a welcoming and homey feel.
