Bocton Ridge
C.P. Hart supplied the products for the family bathroom, en-suites, and cloakroom of Bocton Ridge, a sophisticated private dwelling overlooking the Kentcountryside.
The Specification
Bocton Ridge's design drew inspiration from the vintage brownie camera: a concrete four-bedroom property with a lens-like floor-to-ceiling glass entryway and sliding shutters made from Siberian larch timber. "We wanted to create this transparent centrepiece that you look straight through, almost like a lens," the designer recalls.The property was designed to meet the high-performance Passivhaus building standards, resulting in an almost air-tight structure that requires little to no heating or cooling technology, making it an incredibly energy-efficient and sustainable project.
The bathrooms each follow a minimal scheme with a muted colour palette. C.P. Hart supplied a combination of our exclusive Zone and Catalano basins, paired with chrome Gessi brassware. In the en-suites, showers comprise of a bespoke glass shower screen, whilst the family bathroom features a freestanding Bette bath.
The Result
The result of Bocton Ridge is a structural masterpiece where simple design and sustainability are considered throughout."We consume a lot of energy, and the Passivhaus concept allows us to reduce that consumption and minimise waste," the designer explained. "I think, going forward, that's got to be a major consideration for new houses."
